Does the new Scotland need a new anthem. If so, what should it be ? At the moment, we have two unofficial anthems, Flower of Scotland and Scotland the Brave. Both have a following but no agreement on which should be the officially recognized anthem. So the debate goes on, and on, and on.

In an attempt to inject some new ideas into the debate, a website www.scottishanthem.co.uk has been created containing 13 ideas with the facility to vote for whatever anthem you would like to see as Scotland's official anthem.

The website gives visitors the opportunity to vote for their top three choices of anthem which can be any three songs whatsoever, they don't have to be songs listed on the site or recognised anthem contenders. They can be anything at all. Visitors will also be able to upload a recording, words and music for their own song or even just a new recording of an established standard. This showcase facility will give everyone a chance to see what talent is out there.
